SWEEPSTAKES DESCRIPTION

The Mi Student Aid (MISA), Reach for the Pie Sweepstakes (“Sweepstakes”) begins on Tuesday, April 16, 2024, and ends on Sunday, June 30, 2024. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY.

A random drawing from all eligible entries received will be conducted after the close of the Sweepstakes period, at or about 12:00 p.m. ET on or about Monday, July 9th, 2024, to select one hundred (100) winners. Each winner will receive one gift card worth $750.00 for “Pizza for a year” (“Prize”). An alternate winner will be selected, in the order they were drawn, to award a prize if a winner forfeits a prize.

Please read these Official Rules carefully before entering the Sweepstakes. By entering the Sweepstakes, you agree that you have read, and are bound by, the terms and conditions set forth below. If you do not agree to the terms and conditions set forth below, you may not enter the Sweepstakes. By entering the Sweepstakes, you acknowledge and agree that these Official Rules are a legally binding contract between you and MISA. MISA may modify the terms and conditions of these Official Rules as described below, and you agree to familiarize yourself with any modifications which will be posted at the Sweepstakes website at ReachForThePie.org.

ELIGIBILITY

Entry in the Sweepstakes is limited to legal United States residents residing in Michigan who submit their FAFSA forms for post-secondary education use during the 2024/2025 school year (“Eligible Entrant”).

Employees, directors and officers, and the immediate family members of employees of MISA, and of Güd Marketing, Inc. and their respective parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, advertising and promotion agencies and companies involved in the design, implementation, and execution of the Sweepstakes (collectively, the “Sweepstakes Entities”) are not eligible to enter or win.

HOW TO ENTER

Only Eligible Entrants may enter the Sweepstakes or win a Prize. There are two ways to enter the Sweepstakes: text messaging and by mail. To enter via text, an Eligible Entrant must text “FAFSA” to 844-34-PIZZA and complete a texting entry form that they will receive by text response (“Official Entry Form”) between 12:01 a.m. Eastern Time (“ET”) on Tuesday, April 16, 2024, and 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, June 30th, 2024 (the “Sweepstakes Period”). Eligible Entrants may alternatively enter by mail. To enter by mail, an Eligible Entrant should complete an Official Entry Form (which is available on-line at www.ReachForThePie.org) and mail it to “Reach for the Pie Sweepstakes”, c/o Güd Marketing, 1223 Turner Street, Suite 101, Lansing, MI 48906. In both cases, the entry form will request contact information and confirmation that the entrant has submitted their FAFSA application for the 2024/2025 school year. All entries must be received by text and all mail-in entries must be on or before Sunday, June 30th, 2024. Entries postmarked after the Sweepstakes Period, or that are otherwise in violation of these Official Rules, are void.

Limit one entry per Eligible Entrant regardless of the method of entry. Multiple entries in contravention of these Official Rules, or entries generated by a script, macro, or other automated means, will be disqualified. Entries that are incomplete are void. MISA is not responsible for lost, late, stolen, damaged, misdirected, or illegible entries. All entries become property of MISA and will not be returned.

WINNER SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION

A random drawing from all eligible entries received will be conducted as described above. Prizes will be provided by Hungry Howie’s. A Prize will be awarded:

1) To the Winner if the Winner meets the eligibility criteria established in these Official Rules, and
2) If the Winner executes an Affidavit of Eligibility/Liability & Public Release Form prepared by MISA. In the
event the Winner is an unemancipated minor, their parent or legal guardian must also sign the form.

Taxes or fees, if any, on the Prize are the sole responsibility of the Winner. If the Winner cannot accept the Prize in conformity of these Official Rules, the Prize will be forfeited. An alternate winner will be awarded a forfeited prize in the order they were drawn.

PRIZES

Each prize consists of one $750 gift card. One hundred (100) Prizes will be awarded. MISA contract terms and conditions apply to the use of the Prize. For more information visit www.ReachForThePie.org.

Limit one (1) Prize per Eligible Entrant.

GENERAL PRIZE CONDITIONS

MISA will not permit substitution, transfer, assignment or payment of a cash equivalent of the Prize except that MISA, in its sole discretion, may substitute the Prize with a prize of equal or greater value. In order to collect a Prize, a Winner shall provide express written consent to MISA to use the Winner’s name and likeness, without compensation, in any and all advertising and promotional materials, including the promotional website relating to the Sweepstakes, in all media now known or hereafter discovered, including, but not limited to the World Wide Web. The Winner shall waive any right to notification, review, or approval of any such use and further agree to provide any additional written consent to any such as may be reasonably requested by MISA. Entering the Sweepstakes gives MISA all rights to use any Eligible Entrant’s sweepstakes submission content in any capacity without compensation. The Winners shall have no claim (including, without limitation, claims based on invasion of privacy, defamation, or right of publicity) arising out of any use, blurring, alteration, or use in composite form of his or her name, likeness, address (city and state), email address, biographical information, or information provided in the Official Entry Form.

MISA makes no warranties, and hereby disclaims any and all warranties, express or implied, in connection with the Sweepstakes.

GENERAL

Any costs associated with accepting or redeeming the Prize, including taxes, fees, or expenses will be the responsibility of the Winner, not MISA or the Sweepstakes Entities. Winner shall forfeit any prize not accepted in its entirety. All Eligible Entrants, including all Winners, agree that MISA and the Sweepstakes Entities have no liability whatsoever for any injuries, losses or damages of any kind resulting from acceptance, possession, misuse or use of the Prize or participation in this Sweepstakes.

The rights granted under this paragraph shall extend to MISA and the Sweepstakes Entities and with respect to all Eligible Entrants in the Sweepstakes, including non-winners and Winners.

Any attempt by an Eligible Entrant or any other individual to tamper with the entry and/or random selection process, or otherwise undermine the legitimate operation of the Sweepstakes may be in violation of criminal and civil laws and MISA reserves the right to cooperate in the prosecution of such individuals. Failure to enforce any term of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that provision. If for any reason the Sweepstakes is not capable of being executed as planned, or unauthorized intervention, fraud, action of Eligible Entrants, technical failures or any other causes which in the sole opinion of MISA, corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of this Sweepstakes, MISA reserves the right at their sole discretion to disqualify any incomplete entry and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Sweepstakes.

All federal, state, and local regulations apply. This Sweepstakes is void where prohibited by law. The Sweepstakes is presented as a promotion of MISA pursuant to Michigan Compiled Law 750.372(2). To the extent the Sweepstakes is determined to be outside the protection of MCL 750.372(2) or otherwise prohibited by law, it is void.

GOVERNING LAW

ALL ISSUES AND QUESTIONS CONCERNING THE CONSTRUCTION, VALIDITY, INTERPRETATION AND ENFORCEABILITY OF THESE OFFICIAL RULES OR THE RIGHTS AND OBLIGATIONS OF ENTRANTS OR THE SWEEPSTAKES ENTITIES IN CONNECTION WITH THE SWEEPSTAKES SHALL BE GOVERNED BY AND CONSTRUED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE LAWS OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN WITHOUT GIVING EFFECT TO ANY CHOICE OF LAW OR CONFLICT OF LAW RULES OR PROVISIONS THAT WOULD CAUSE THE APPLICATION OF ANY OTHER STATE’S LAWS.
